FAQs for PKE car alarm OW600:
1. What is MICCA® PKE Proximity Immobilizer Car Alarm System?
"PKE" is short for "Passive Keyless Entry", which is a superior solution and a popular feature on latest model high end vehicles but now it's available for your own car since we integrate the PKE technology in our hopping code car alarm. A built-in proximity immobilizer is also included in the remote control, therefore, the car owners do not need to take an additional card, one remote control(hereby we call it "Passive Remote Control") is enough to have 3 functions in hand: PKE function, Proximity Immobilizer function and basic car alarm function.
2. What is "PKE" function specifically?
The innovative PKE function lets the car owners hands-free to unlock the car doors simply by walking up to their vehicle and lock the doors by walking away. There is a LF 125Khz antenna installed in the driver's door to search for the passive remote control and the effective distance between them is 1.5 meters(hereby we call it "active zone"). When the remote enters in the active zone, the doors will be automatically unlocked and when it is out of the active zone and the driver's door keeps closed, all the doors will be automatically locked. To sum up:
In active zone(1.5m) Disarm and Automatic Door Unlocking(PKE)
Out of active zone(1.5m) and close driver's door Arm and Automatic Door Locking(PKE)
For OEM requests, we could optionally add more antennas in the front passenger's door and trunk.
3. Car you explain what is the built-in Proximity Immobilizer Function?
Yes, the passive remote control is built in with an immobilizer. Once a burglar enters the vehicle and attemps to start the engine, if the car owner was forced to leave his vehicle together with the passive remote control, in other words, the remote is now out of the active zone, the system will then activate the anti-carjacking mode, 30seconds later, the siren will be alarming and 60seconds later, the engine will be disabled. With the proximity immobilizer, the car owner will have enough time to run away and in the mean time prevent the burglar driving away the vehicle.
